Introduction to Multi-Crew Operations Course
Like the “IPC to ATPL Course”, this course is offered in cooperation with our partner operation, the Ottawa Flying Club (OFC). The course is aimed at pilots who already have a Group 1 Instrument Rating, and who want exposure to a multi-crew environment before taking on more advanced positions in the industry. The course was developed by Lee Keller, an experienced airline pilot from the Ottawa Flying Club. The course is completed in the OFC simulator with an option of a “finishing exercise” to be completed in our Piper Aztec under an actual IFR flight plan, clearance and of course in IFR weather conditions (weather permitting).
Key Features
Comprehensive Training: The course includes in-depth pre-flight planning, in-flight execution, and post-flight debriefing to focusing on multi-crew operations, standard operating procedures, and human factors.
Optional “finishing exercise” in an Aircraft: If desired, pilots can do an optional flight in an aircraft to apply the multi-crew skills from the simulator in our Piper Aztec in an IFR environment.
Target Audience
Pilots holding an Instrument Rating who are moving to a multi-crew environment.
Benefits
Professional Development: The program supports career advancement by preparing pilots for higher certification levels and increasing their marketability.
